I know that others in DS love their Antec 1200s; and I like the look and size of them too.
Wheels mentioned the Gigabyte UD9 the other day, and even though it's pricey, I think it looks awesome and the benchmarks I've seen for it are really good too.
I think that the i7 950 when OCed will be more than capable and can't see the benefit of the price hike for the 960 and above.
I'm not a real big fan of water, so I steered clear of that. The Frio is a good cooler.
I think that 6870's in crossfire will be awesome. They'll wipe a single GTX580 no sweat. I know that '870's are now cut down, mid range, but from what I've read they do run a bit cooler too, and I don't think I need hardware PhysX, so I go with AMD, (formerly ATI).
12GB of ram across 3 sticks; gives the ability to upgrade further to a crazy 24GB with a couple of hundred bucks.
The Vertex 240GB is the star of the build. I prefer the 3.5" so I don't have to muck around with little caddies. It will make this whole system fly.
2TB of slowish HDD for storage, (Sammys are great, I've got heaps of the 1.5TB ones).
Blu-ray just cause they're cheap.
I prefer the ergonomic style keyboards because I have to do a lot of typing.
I love my MX-518 mouse, but the G500 is virtually the same but better, so I went with it. A mouse is quite possibly the most 'personal' choice, because each person likes different things in my opinion.
I went with a headset; no speakers. I watch movies in my loungeroom with my HTPC powering a 7.1 setup and big LCD; no point imo having too much on here. However, the headset is all important for playing games. I've wanted this one for a while now cause I've only got decent Sennheiser headphones, (no mic), and a crappy Logitech $30 headset.
Win7. Go pro, not ultimate, but definitely go 64bit!
Cheap monitor, but vast at 27", and quick at 1ms, (which I doubt, but hey, that's what's printed).
